VICTORY! JAMB Rescinds Redistribution Policy

Like they say, “Bad policies do not last.” Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, Welcome to the 21st century!

The Public Relations officer of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Mr. Fabian Benjamin, has announced that the redistribution policy that sees UTME candidates being posted to other higher institutions against their choice has been rescinded.

Mr. Fabian Benjamin announced the decision of the board to reverse the policy this afternoon, after it met a strong opposition from affected candidates and parents. Mr Benjamin confirmed that candidates can now go to their institutions of first choice for Post-UTME.

He also advised candidates to as well go to the other school they’ve being posted to for post UTME in order to increase their chances of gaining admission.

  1. Well, I really don’t agree it was a bad policy altogether. Seems we just have too many people applying to certain institutions… and JAMB trying to help the lower graders out.
