Cattle—colloquially cows—are the most common type of large domesticated ungulates.  Cows are referred to as the foster mothers of the human race because they produce most of the milk that people drink.

1. Like humans, cows (cattle) form close friendships and choose to spend much of their time with 2-4 preferred individuals. They also hold grudges for years and may dislike particular individuals.

4. A cow is a mature female and a bull an adult male. A heifer is a female cow that hasn’t had a calf yet. Cattle is the name for the whole “cow” family.
