10 Qualities of a Good Entrepreneur

For you to be successful in a chosen business or activity, here are some qualities you need to possess.

A GOOD Entrepreneur is:

1. Open Minded

A good Entrepreneur knows that every event and situation is a business opportunity. Ideas are constantly being generated about workflows and efficiency, people skills and potential new businesses. He/She has the ability to look at everything around them and focus it towards their goals.

2. Very Active

Remember business means business and if you keep sitting on the fence you will always be the watcher. To be a successful entrepreneur you must chose which side of the fence you want to jump over to and make the most of it. Do not ponder on all the pros and cons of a problem too much and delay important projects. You must be a quick thinker and act fast. When necessary make a choice, take action and deal with all the obstacles as they come. Be productive. Sitting around and waiting for things to happen is not going to make you a successful entrepreneur.

3. Goal Oriented

Entrepreneurs are all about setting goals and putting their all into achieving them; they’re determined to make their business succeed and will remove any encumbrances that may stand in their way. They also tend to be strategic in their game plans and always have a clear idea in mind of exactly what they want to achieve and how they plan to achieve it.

4. Creative

One facet of creativity is being able to make connections between seemingly unrelated events or situations. Entrepreneurs often come up with solutions which are the synthesis of other items. A successful entrepreneur must also be imaginative and creative. They must be able to look outside the square and see things others do not. They must be able to offer solutions to difficult problems as well as being able to brainstorm ideas for their products. They must be able to create a business that will set them apart from others.

They are willing to put in those extra hours to make the business succeed because there is a joy their business gives which goes beyond the money. The successful entrepreneur will always be reading and researching ways to make the business better. Successful entrepreneurs want to see what the view is like at the top of the business mountain. Once they see it, they want to go further. They know how to talk to their employees, and their businesses soar as a result.

9. They have Strong People Skills

The entrepreneur has strong communication skills to sell the product and motivate employees. Most successful entrepreneurs know how to motivate their employees so the business grows overall. They’re also natural leaders with the ability to motivate, inspire and influence those around them.

10. They have Self Discipline

Those who are self disciplined are one step closer to becoming a successful entrepreneur. We all would love to have fun instead of work, or watch TV instead of doing serious work but remember it is this self control that distinguishes those that are successful from those that are not. When you want to succeed in anything, not just business, you must teach yourself time management, stress management and also be able to separate work from play.
