A small history of Banknotes:
Banknote or Paper Money was introduced in China in 11th century to get rid of coins in heavy and bulky transactions. Before introduction of coins and paper money, there were many other goods that were used as a medium of exchange. Salt, gold and silver coins were some of the major mediums of exchange.
We are not going to talk more about the history of banknotes now as this post is dedicated to some beautiful currency notes around the world.
Zimbabwean Dollar:
The One Hundred Trillion Dollar banknote was printed and introduced in Zimbabwe in 2009. Although it was a banknote with extremely high amount but it was just equal to about N51b.
