As much as we say relationships won’t change us at all, we’re usually wrong. We see lovey-dovey couples in movies, on TV shows and even in real life on Facebook, and we roll our eyes at them and promise anyone who will listen that we would NEVER do something so corny and lame. And then we meet someone we love, and we get in a relationship.

I’m not trying to sound bitter or angry, but people in relationships can do some pretty annoying things sometimes (please don’t take this too seriously). Dating someone sometimes makes you do silly things. Here are the 6 most annoying things you’ll do when you’re in a relationship:

Bringing Each Other Everywhere

After you’ve been dating for a certain amount of time, you might start going everywhere together. And I mean everywhere. Your friends might start to realize that if they’re inviting you somewhere, that means you’re bringing your BF/GF along. In all honesty, this is seriously annoying and you shouldn’t do it. I refuse to be one of these people.

Baby Talk/Cutesy Nicknames

Baby talk. It’s… not ideal. In fact, it’s usually downright annoying and can make your ears bleed. But that doesn’t stop couples from doing it, just like it doesn’t stop people from doing it when they talk to pets. Once, we were talking about how annoying baby talk is and suddenly I realized – I DO IT. I was mortified, but, whatever. It happens. And cutesy nicknames are okay when they’re not things like “schmookums pumpkinface.” Then things get weird.

Fighting In Public

No one likes the couple that fights in public. It’s uncomfortable and awkward for everyone around them. But, at some point, you will be that couple who is fighting in public. And you will be annoying. Just don’t do it too often and you’re off the hook.

Putting Hugging Pictures On Social Media At Cliche Times

You know that every couple out there will post a cute pic on Valentine’s Day. You know every couple will put up a picture of them kissing on New Year’s Eve. But you do it anyway. Why? I don’t know, it really is cute, okay?! To you, at least. Not anyone else.

Saying Everything As ‘We’

One of the worst things is when one of your friends stops saying, “I think…” and starts saying “We think…” Don’t talk about your boyfriend/girlfriend and you like you guys are one person who think all the same things and all that. It’s weird. And annoying.

Basically Turning Into Each Other

I have a friend who literally changes her entire self when she starts dating someone to be just like her partner. It is the WORST. It’s like, get your own sense of self! Don’t do this. Your loved ones will visibly cringe as they listen to you talk about the love of cars you never, ever had before.
