In line with up-skilling Nigerian teachers for 21st Century skills , no fewer than 120 teachers of Doregos Private Academy and St Bernadette Schools have become the first schools in Africa and Nigeria to certify their teachers in UNESCO Standard, Digital Literacy and Microsoft certifications.

With the certification, students will be prepared for the new academic session with 21st Century skills needed in a world where technology is prevalent and quickly changing.
The teachers from the schools are now certified as Microsoft Certified Educators (MCE) and Internet and Computing Core Certified (IC3).

Educators holding a MCE and IC3 certifications have the competencies needed to apply technology skills to the teaching and learning process, creating a richer learning experience for students, and saving precious time.

The Microsoft Partners in the learning group have a professional development programme to help teachers develop the attributes needed for innovative teaching.

The teachers are undergoing rigorous training for four weeks at New Horizons, the world’s leading IT training institution in Nigeria.
