How to do all Your Homework with ease

The Challenge:

In school, you have to attend at least, eight classes per day. After each class, the teacher gives you about five take home exercises. That is a total of forty exercises in just one day which you must submit in 48 hours. The next day, the trend repeats and it is like you are going to crash under the weight of assignment. ‘Am I ever going to have time for other things I enjoy? You ask rhetorically.’

Understand:

Understand that your teacher does not hate you, neither does *he intend to punish you. Exercises and homework are challenges. Challenges make you a better person. When your teacher gives you an assignment in a subject area, he wants to test and build your knowledge in that subject area. This will, in the long run, help you perform better in C.A tests and exams. Understand that homework and exercises are to polish and not to punish you.

What You Can Do:

  • Education is priority: Make your academics your priority. Since your schooling is important, you should prioritize doing your homework over other activities. Every other thing should come next.
  • Study area: Find a serene study area. Remove all distractions such as tv, phones, music etc. Your study area should have a desk and a chair.
  • Create time. Dedicate a set time to do your homework. Watch out for the thief called procastination. The time scheduled for your homework should not be used for frivolities or trivia.

Procastination is the thief of time.
Beware, procastination is the thief of time.
  • Map a plan: It is important you plan how you want to do your homework. Decide which you would do first, second, third and so forth. HELP – Write on a paper, a list of all the subjects you have homework, set a time limit to each and then make a tick on each as you complete them.
  • Give yourself breaks: Sometimes, you may loose focus as you do your assignments, take a short break and return as soon as possible.
  • Get proper rest: School activities may stress you to limit. Take a bath when you return from school, ensure you eat lunch and take a short nap. This helps you recover from every strain and helps the brain work better.
