With the UEFA Champions League resuming tonight, you might want to know some of the new – and old – faces to return for the last 16 tie for their respective squads. Here are five of the best options from the new list of eligible players.

The Ivory Coast striker who cost The Citizens €35m has never played in the UEFA Champions League proper before, but he scored six times in last season’s UEFA Europa League for Swansea City AFC, and was the Premier League’s top scorer in 2014 with 20 goals. - Fernando Torres(Club Atlético de Madrid)

Fernando Torres is back! An old new face, Torres managed four UEFA Champions League goals in 2013/14 but has 18 goals in 50 competition appearances overall and has already scored against Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona since returning to the Vicente Calderón in January for an 18 month loan spell.

Juan Cuadrado Listed as a midfielder, the Colombian set the club back €33m, which could prove a bargain if he can force his way into the Chelsea team. Scored 11 times for ACF Fiorentina last season and provided four assists at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the competition’s joint highest total.
- Olivier Giroud(Arsenal FC)
A broken leg meant the Frenchman was not a part of The Gunners’ group stage squad, but he returned to action in late November and has been in fine form this year. Has four goals in his last six appearances, including two against Middlesbrough FC on Sunday. - Alessandro Matri(Juventus)
Something of a gamble as he’s likely to be Juve’s fourth-choice striker since joining on loan. Managed seven Serie A goals in the first half of the campaign at Genoa CFC and has knockout pedigree, having scored in both legs of the round of 16 against Celtic FC two years ago.
