Thinking of doing an interlock patio in the backyard to replace a small concrete slab we currently use. I want something more inviting for summer get-togethers, but I’m worried about shifting or weeds coming through. Any experiences with this kind of project?

Proper base installation is key. If it’s done right, you shouldn’t have problems with shifting or weeds.

When I redid my backyard last summer, I wanted something cozy yet low-maintenance. My old concrete area was cracking, and I wanted a real upgrade here are the interlock patio services they offer — OAKS Home Services handled everything from planning to final sealing. The layout turned out beautifully, with a mix of textures that made the space feel custom. We’ve hosted several BBQs already, and it still looks spotless. They also prepped the ground so well that I haven’t seen a single weed pop through. It’s now my favorite place to relax, and it actually added value to our home, which I wasn’t expecting. The process was smooth and the results really speak for themselves.
