Borussia Dortmund 0-3 Juventus (Agg 1-5): Tevez stars as Juve see off Dortmund

Carlos Tevez struck a brace and created another goal as Juventus eased past Borussia Dortmund and into the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Juve striker smashed in from 30 yards early on, giving his side a 3-1 aggregate lead and a key away goal.

The home side pressed but created little and Tevez squared for Alvaro Morata to finish after half-time.

It left Dortmund needing four in the final 20 minutes and Tevez compounded their misery, firing in from 18 yards.

The former Manchester United and Manchester City player opened the scoring three weeks ago in Turin and his early blast at Dortmund’s Westfalenstadion provided Juve with a platform to seal their third Champions League quarter-final spot in nine seasons.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side – twice winners of the competition – will be an opponent few will relish being paired with in Friday’s draw as with a 14-point cushion in Serie A, they can afford to focus fully on a tilt at a first European Cup win since 1996.
