After renovating the kitchen, a pipe under the sink started leaking. Everything seems to be new, but water is appearing under the cabinet. Sometimes it’s stronger, sometimes weaker. I’ve already put down some plastic sheeting, but that’s not a solution. Maybe the joints weren’t tightened properly or the silicone is bad? I don’t want to take everything apart again. Maybe someone knows a good plumber who works conscientiously, not just by eye?

Oh, what an unpleasant situation, even if everything is new 😬 When the pipe under the sink leaks in “waves,” the cause is often not the pipe itself, but the joints or seals. Perhaps the nuts are not tightened enough, or the silicone/sealant has not set properly, especially if it was not allowed to dry completely during repairs. Sometimes the problem is in the wrong choice of gaskets or couplings — even new components do not guarantee tightness if they do not fit in diameter or shape. To avoid dismantling everything several times and creating new “waterfalls” under the cabinet, it is better to immediately call a professional with experience working with kitchen pipes and siphons. To understand how such leaks are professionally checked and repaired, you can look at the materials at drain cleaning toronto
. It explains well how to inspect all joints, check for leaks, and select the right gaskets so that water no longer “runs away” under the cabinet. While waiting for the repairman, leave a container and a towel underneath to minimize the effects of the leak.
