It all started with one tiny problem that suddenly became annoying fast because his old work phone kept buzzing in a drawer while the new one stayed silent, at first he laughed it off but then a login code came through during a payment setup and a customer reply landed on the wrong device again, he searched how to receive text messages from another phone number because he wanted to understand the proper way to manage messages tied to his own account, I think this topic gets tricky fast because texts can include private details, for me it only feels acceptable when there is clear permission or the number belongs to you, has anyone dealt with this during a phone change or shared work phone setup?
