Stop Doing Important Things Occasionally, Do Important Things Daily

It is pertinent that a man makes his life a masterpiece. To achieve this will require that you think through things properly, get a clear idea and make succinct selection of what you intend to decorate your life with and in doing this; it translates to you doing important things daily.

John Maxwell said, “if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavours to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; and he will live with the license of a higher order of beings”.

Let me intimate you about what you need to advance in the course of your dreams, it is especially focused on the fact that you engage in what is important daily. You will short change yourself when you engage in trivial things daily as it will yield you nothing but emptiness.

Doing important things daily gives you room to grow and expand your horizon alongside. You do not just waste time but you get value for utilising your time. The way Poet Henry Longfellow describe this is very succinct, he compared his growth to that of an apple tree. He said, “The purpose of an apple tree is to grow a little new wood each year and that is what I plan to do”. In another poem, he wrote, “Not enjoyment and not sorrow is our destined and always: but to live that each tomorrow finds us further than today.

It is rather disheartening that students find it difficult to obey this very instruction which is instructive in itself. If you must make excellent grades, you must engage in quality studies daily. Don’t go about playing when you should be reading. It is important to do the right things at the right time.

Engage yourself in doing what is important to you daily; things that align with your vision for life and in no distant time, the world will celebrate you for this. Happy Cheers!
