Are you a model citizen of society? Well let’s decipher that right about now! So you’re at the ATM machine and there is nobody around. And then right at the corner you spot an ATM card and a note which says “here is the pin; use”. What would you do in that instance? Would you be tempted to withdraw as much cash as you can especially since there is nobody around or would you mind your business? Hold your answers for now let’s imagine yet another scenario…
You’re walking down the road, and as you look down you behold a stack of cash by the roadside. And just like before, there is nobody watching you. So would you pick up the money or would you keep walking?
Now one last scenario- you are in your kitchen staring at the pot of soup your mummy has just cooked. And inside the pot of soup are some delicious animals staring back at you. Nobody is about and then you are tempted to eat all those meat. You know you can easily deny when you are asked and blame it on the house girl instead. Your mummy could believe you and punish the housekeeper instead. So would you go ahead and steal the meat or would you leave it alone?
You see, moments like the ones described above determine your level of morality; your uprightness. Therefore you must really think hard and be truthful to yourself what you would do. Are the sort of teenager who stay clear of criminal acts all the time or do you only behave like an angel when your parents are watching you? As a responsible teenager, your focus should always be to be a model citizen; the best teenager there could possibly be. And the only way you can do that is by shunning crime, including small “white” lies, stealing and hooliganism.
Last night, I was beyond surprised when I saw in the news some teenagers who were arrested in Enugu for cultism. I kept asking myself- what could possibly have lured these ones into cultism at their tender age? I mean, why on earth would any right-thinking, promising young human decide to ruin [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][their] lives by engaging in petty crimes? You better determine today never to be like that. Your life is too precious to be wasted away.
