Popular Nigerian RnB singer, music producer and song writer, Tekno Miles (real name Augustine Miles Kelechi) is officially our celebrity of the week! Tekno was born on December 17th, 1992 to Ebonyi parents who lived in different parts of northern Nigeria [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][includin Bauchi, Kaduna, Abuja and Nassarawa) due to his father’s military career. At the age of 8, Tekno was said to have been enrolled in a music school where he learnt how to play the guitar and piano. That [undoubtedly] laid the foundation for the very successful music career he is having today.

The first record label Tekno was signed to is K-Money Entertainment. At this point he was still living in Abuja and wasn’t quite as popular yet. But then in 2012, the door to his major break came open after he was spotted by some great names in the entertainment business while performing a song called Onye Ne Kwu; his own remix of Ice Prince’s mega hit song Oleku. One of those who spotted him during his performance (for which he reportedly got a standing ovation) were- Ubi Franklin, Julius Agwu and Inyanya. He became friends with the Made Men Music Group CEO and artist (Ubi and Inyanya that is), who later encouraged him to move to Lagos where the music business thrives.  He obliged.

Ever since he moved to Lagos and signed a record label contract with Made Men Music, Tekno has become and remained a major musical force. He has since released several chart-topping songs including his first major hit Dance, the 2015 mega hits Duro and Wash. Meanwhile, 2016/2017 seem to be dominated by the young star as he continues in his tradition of making good music; giving us such grooves as Diana and my all time favourite Pana. He has also written and produced amazing songs for other leading singers in the country, including Victoria Kimani’s Show and Davido’s If.

I am proud of you, Tekno Miles and I am sure all your fans are too. Keep serenading the world with good RnB, albeit the Nigerian style. Very nice!
