Disappointing: Six Months After and Our Girls Have Not Yet Returned!

How time flies! It’s been six months now that our girls were abducted by the Boko Haram group, since then, every efforts made for their recovery has proven abortive.

These girls are our future mothers who in the quest for knowledge, embraced education by going to school and disproving this belief of a girl child going to school is not beneficial and not important, that, this nightmare befell them.

Some of these girls’ parents have died as a result of pains, shock and devastation they have been through. Meanwhile, stories have been going round that the girls have been released, but all are lies and not true; the abductors are using it to distract groups that are meant to be looking into this case.

In a recent interview, American singer and activist, Alicia Keys, expressed shock over the long period of time that these girls have been missing. She said, “Putting the spotlight on these girls is very, very important to me and I thought that it is my job to help shine the light on what is going on and show people: this is still happening and we must not forget and it is going on for six months,”

We can only pray for the girls right now, and hope that our governments, non governmental organizations, activists, business  guru and the whole masses to join hands together to see to the successful return of our girls in one piece.
