When you are out with your peers, you probably will want to do some fun things with a friend. Even at home, a teen will still probably want something more to do with his friends than just sit around.
There are many fun things to do with a friend, depending on your creativity and your surroundings, making the possibilities of things you can do with friends endless. Whether you go to the movies (if you can afford it), play games, or just hang out around your house, ideas for fun activities to do with your friends are endless.
What Are Some of Them?
Depending on your location, the number of people that are with you, and your creativity, there are hundreds of fun things you can do with your friends. And since many teenagers don’t have much money, free things to do that are fun can be a good option when hanging out. If you are at home, some fun, and affordable things to do are:
- Play a board game: such as Ludo, Chess or Scrabble. Board games can usually be found in homes where family game are held, and they can be a fun way to spend a few hours with your friends! Card games are also a nice option if you do not have any board games. Don’t forget computer games too!
- Create your own game! You can make up rules to any sort of game if you have a little creativity, just be sure everyone agrees on the rules before you start playing.
- Watch a movie. Going to see a new movie at the cinemas can be costly. Watching a movie that you already own can be a cheap way to have fun, and you don’t have to leave home to watch it. And if the group pools together whatever amount they have – you might as well have a “small” party!
- Do some revision. This may not sound very fun, but any activity can be more enjoyable with people you like, and with examinations underway, thrashing some Maths problem on a Saturday afternoon can be a good way to get ready for Monday.
If you and your friends want to find something fun to do outside of your home, then the neighbourhood football field or basketball court is also a cheap place to go hang out. If you or one of your friends can drive, and you have some money, then you could even take a road trip somewhere! Always be sure to get your parents’ permission however.
Who says fun cannot be had on little or no budget? Where there’s the will, there will most certainly be a way!!
And enjoy your weekend too (I most certainly will)
