An abbreviation is an easier and short way of writing a word or phrase. It may consist of one or more letters. There are dozens of abbreviations which we use on daily basis but very less people know their actual meanings.
In this post, I’ve tried to list all those abbreviations which we use almost everyday.

2. QED: Quod Erat Demonstrandum (Latin translation for the phrase; “that which was to be: Demonstrated”)
3. N.A. : Not Available
4. TBC: To Be Confirmed
5. ATM: Automated Teller Machine
6. RSVP: Répondez S’il Vous Plaît (French word for please reply.)
7. BTW: By The Way
8. FYI: For Your Information
9. FYA: For Your Attention
10. BYE: Be with You Every time
11. TEA: Taste and Energy Admitted
12. DATE: Day And Time Evolution
13. NEWS: North East West South
14. SMS: Short Messaging Service
15. TMS: Text Messaging Service
16. ETC: Etcetera (Used to mention the continuation of a specific list)
17. EG: Exempli Gratia (Latin word for “For Example”)
18. IE: Id Est (Latin word for “that is”)
19. BP: Blood Pressure
20. CEO: Chief Executive Officer
21. GM: General Manager
22. MD: Managing Director
23. ASAP: As Soon As Possible
24. MMS: Multimedia Message
