Valencia seemed set to take all three points from the Bernabeu but the Ballon d’Or winner rescued his side once again, swiveling his body magnificently to convert Angel Di Maria’s cross.
The inspired goalkeeping of Diego Alves had kept Ronaldo at bay for almost the entire game, but the Portugal forward had the last laugh, volleying home with the back of his heel to score his 50th goal of the season.
