The student Innovators club stormed LA primary school in Ajegunle with the Peer2Peer Project. The project which is ably supported by Microsoft partners in learning, Etisalat and Lekki British School is aimed towards empowering students with innovative thinking backed with ICT.
The project seeks to create collaboration between students of private and public schools, bringing students from selected private and public schools to help build the confidence and self esteem of the students from public schools. This month’s edition had students from Lekki British school coming together to interact with, and identify some of the challenges the pupils of LA primary school in Ajegunle face.
According to Mr. Obiyemi Olakanmi, the Head of Information Technology department of Lekki British School and Mr. Tunji Ajani of Students Innovators Club, the club is planning to provide an equipped computer lab in the school and engage the services of a Corps member to handle the training of pupils on the usage and maintenance of the lab in view of the crucial role ICT plays in education, which makes it imperative for all students and pupils to be abreast with the trends.
