That’s something I’ve dealt with too. I used to apply based just on titles, but that rarely worked out. Now I focus more on reading the responsibilities and comparing them to what I’ve actually done, not just what I can do. Another thing that helps is calling the recruiter to ask about specifics — sometimes they know the employer’s flexibility better than what’s written. I also check how many of the listed duties I’ve already mastered; if it’s under 70%, I usually skip it. It’s better to apply for fewer roles that truly match than send out tons that don’t fit!
