A referee for the African Cup of Nations has been banned for six (6) months for “poor performance” during the Tunisia – Equitorial Guinea face-off on 31, January 2015. Rajindraparsad Seechurn, the Mauritius referee, gave Equatorial Guinea a controversial penalty in stoppage time as they beat Tunisia 2-1 in the quarter-finals.
