A teenage girl has been arrested after allegedly hitting a boy with a metal stool because he farted near her.
The 17-year-old has been accused of carrying out the vicious attack at South Richmond High School in Staten Island, New York, which serves teens with special needs and disabilities.
She allegedly also punched the 15-year-old in the head up to 15 times, reports SiLive.
A spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan said she was arraigned on a felony charge of second degree assault, misdemeanour charges of third-degree assault, possession of a criminal weapon, and harassment.
She will appear in court on February 25.
