For Teens With Bad Breath, Here Are Ways To Fix The Problem

Bad breaths can be quite the embarrassment! Just imagine that you are engaged in conversation with someone and all the while, the person keeps covering [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][their] nostrils, totally uncomfortable no thanks to the terrible stench emanating from your mouth. Such an encounter will certainly make you feel so bad, and perhaps also “inspire” you to get rid of the odour. Now here is the truth- some rare medical conditions can cause people to have smelly breath. But aside the rare medical conditions, the major cause of bad breath remain poor oral hygiene.

Well the good news is that it’s easy to improve one’s bad breath while keeping your teeth and gums healthy at the same time. Listed below are things you need to judiciously do if you wish to have fresh and clean breath all day long as against the foul and unpleasant odour many people detest.

BRUSH AND FLOSS MORE OFTEN: Plaques- those sticky buildups on your teeth- are there to collect the bacteria that cause bad breath. Food particles trapped in these plaques further complicate the problem. To prevent/get rid of the plaques and the associated mouth odour, it’s important to brush the teeth at least twice on a daily. Also floss at least once a day. If you’re concerned about your breath, do these a little more often. It’s important not to over-brush or over-floss though because brushing too hard can cause your teeth and gum to wear down.

RINSE YOUR MOUTH OUT: Besides freshening your breath, using Mouthwash solution adds an extra layer of protection by getting rid of bacteria. The fresh minty taste it gives you can make you feel good all day. It is however important to use only those brands of Mouthwash that kill the germs that cause bad breath. Don’t just cover up the smell; rinse daily with a good Mouthwash and stop bad breath at its source.

SCRAPE YOUR TONGUE: The coating that normally forms on your tongue can be a host for smelly bacteria. To get rid of them, gently brush your tongue with your toothbrush every single time you brush your mouth. Ensure that your brush can comfortably reach the backend of your tongue. This will help remove bacteria, food debris, and dead cells that might likely cause your mouth to smell.

MOISTEN YOUR MOUTH: You can get tooth decay and bad breath if you don’t make enough saliva. If your mouth is dry, drink plenty of water during the day. Chew sugarless gum or suck on sugar-free hard candy. Also try a humidifier at night to moisten the air in your house.

In any case, make your oral hygiene a priority. I wish everyone fresh breaths, please!
