These days, we live most of lives on our phones. Those devices are almost like second nature to us; we can’t just afford to live without them! And this is not even a bad thing; unlike popular opinion. Phones make our lives easier, because not only do they offer us various means of instant communication, they also help us organize our daily tasks and be more productive. So it is quite understandable why we cannot live without it. Unfortunately, what most people have failed to realize is that they need to take adequate care of their phones if indeed they want it to be optimally functional and ever helpful to them. The inability to of anyone to take good care of their phones will result in such a phone damaging unexpectedly and causing stress in the process. Trust me, you do not want to find yourself suddenly without a phone just because you failed to take good care of the one you have. Therefore with this in perspective, I hereby present to you some tips on the best ways to use your phones. Enjoy please…
DO NOT ROUGH HANDLE YOUR PHONE: Phones are fragile even though most people use them as though they aren’t. The screen could easily break and cause more damage to the rest of the phone. But then asides possible hardware damages [which are visible], rough-handling your phones can also result in software damage. You do not want your phone to develop either hardware or software problems. Therefore, in order to ensure that no damage befalls your phone, you must form the habit of handling it with care.
DO NOT EXPOSE YOUR PHONES UNNECESSARILY TO THE ELEMENTS: By exposing your phone to the elements, I am talking about leaving it exposed to the sun and worst still rain. Water can easily damage your device except it is waterproof. But not very many people can afford phones that are waterproof, examples of which are some latest versions of iPhone. Therefore, if you are using regular Symbian, Android and Windows phone, you must learn to take good care of them and ensure that water do not enter where it should not.
INSTALL NEEDFUL ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE: Everyday, you click on at least one link which could lead to potential malware. Malwares or virus can very easily damage your phone and render you phoneless. But the good thing is that this potential threat can be checkmated, which is why everyone is advised to install antivirus on their phones. Some of these antivirus are free and provide basic protection to phones. Always ensure to have yours active.
DO NOT LET YOUR PHONE MEMORY FILL TO THE BRIM: Let us face it- the storage spaces on most phones’ internal storage and SD Cards can be quite small. And what this means is that if you fail to effectively utilize such space and just keep saving up files on them until they fill up, your phone could just crash. Mind you, the international storage itself is the most important storage on your phone because that is where most of your apps (especially the inbuilt ones) are stored. Moreover, many of the other facilities that keep the phone running are all saved there. So should in case the internal memory fill up, it will simply prevent the phone from functioning. In other words, it will crash. You do not wish to experience what that feels like!
OTHER THINGS YOU NEED TO DO ARE-
- To charge the phone battery appropriately, using the appropriate charger and ensuring that your battery do not drain completely before recharging it.
- Do not form the habit of removing your phone battery carelessly without first switching off your phone.
- Switch off your phone before removing or inserting your external memory card.
- Learn to switch your phone off whenever you are not using it. This will help it rest.
- When your phone has a problem, try to hand it over to the right technician to fix other than fixing it yourself. Fixing it yourself may result in more damage.
