One of the governorship aspirants in Ekiti State, under the umbrella of Labour party, Mr Opeyemi Bamidele has come up with one of their empty promises says-”I will not take salary if elected governor”.
Bamidele in the preparation for June 21 election in Ekiti, made the ‘unrealistic statement’ on Thursday while campaigning at Igede-Ekiti in Irepodun/ Ifelodun Local Government Area that he may not collect salaries and emoluments throughout his four year tenure if elected.
He also went further pledging not to seek a second term if he wins the election- say the four years will be enough to implement all his programmes. Could this really be true?
Well, only time will tell. But then, what we do know is that the comparative form of lie is politicians.
