Most teenagers are naturally disorganized. They leave their clothes littered on their room floors and their text/work books scattered across the house. And the same ways their belongings are disorganized are the same ways their thoughts are. Consequently, each time they return from school, studying is hardly their priority just because they can’t concentrate. School therefore becomes more like a social than an educational experience. They go every day to school with thought of meeting and handing with their friends and participating in extracurricular activities. But when it comes time for studies, they can’t concentrate due to their scattered brain. This is a serious challenge, perhaps more serious than it sounds. And that is why this post is here, to encourage you to remain focused on your studies by following these simple methods listed below.

Also, learn to meticulously organize all your school materials efficiently and neatly. This should ensure that your mind is relaxed and your thoughts streamlined instead of ever having to look for your stuff and getting worried/distracted in the process.

This could be anywhere in the house- living room, at the dining room table, a desk in a corner of the room, daddy’s study or a home library. These study areas are also called “Study Grams” and it is imperative to establish it as a quiet zone during a specific time that all family members must respect. In other words, eliminate distractions such as noise from the television or cell phone calls and texts.
STEP THREE: YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE SOME CHOICES ON HOW BEST TO STUDY: Decide whether you’d like to occasionally study with a friend and get your parents to approve. Now bear in mind that working with peers can be very helpful, especially if you are the sort of teenager that needs help with certain subjects such as Mathematics. Consequently, if this helps in anyway, ensure to get it going because at the end, all everyone should be concerned about is that you concentrate on your studies and excel academically.

They should be organized by nature. Observe how they plan their day, schedule their work and family time and even plan family budgets and or expenditures. All of these should influence you into being able to plan your activities- school, study time, play time, rest time. But then your parents aren’t just the only role models they are; there are your teachers, your prefects, your uncles and aunts and even your colleagues!
