It really feels unsafe to leave your number anywhere these days, just like any other personal data. But at the same time, you can’t really register anywhere without numbers or other info. So it’s a dilemma. Leave it or not? I’ve thought about temporary numbers. Has anyone used them?

It’s a good idea. Honestly, though, sometimes I’m lazy. Leaving your own number is easy, and if I’m in a rush, I might just do it.

They might not work on every site, but anywhere you just need a one-time code, they’re perfect. Overall, temporary numbers work for sites that require verify services via sms. For important social networks or platforms that may ask for repeated verification, it’s still better to use a number you have permanent access to.
