Grade 1 Area Court, Karu, FCT, on Thursday sentenced Ola Omo, of Asokoro, Abuja, to 10 months imprisonment for stealing wine and biscuits.
The accused was apprehended after he broke into a shop and stole six bottles of different brands of wine and 10 packets of assorted biscuits, all valued at N27,550.
The accused pleaded guilty to the charges and begged the court for leniency.
“Please have mercy on me sir, it is the work of the Devil,” he said.
