Super Eagles outcast, Osaze Odemwingie, was again on target for Stoke City as they saw off Aston Villa in a resounding fashion at the Villa Park on Sunday.
The Nigerian scored his fifth goal of the season in the 22nd minute after Christian Benteke had put the hosts ahead in the fifth minute. He lashed unto a Peter Crouch pass before squeezing the ball between the legs of Brad Guzan.
Goals from Peter Crouch, Steven N’zonzi and Geoff Cameron in the 26th, 42nd and 90th minutes completed the 4-1 rout.
“This is our best performance so far. We had set out to surpass our performances of the previous seasons. With 37 points we should be safe,” he told Sky Sports after the match.
