Question: Should I Fool Around With My Crush?
My crush always asks me to fool around with him, like a friends with benefits thing (that is sex without a committed relationship). All my friends tell me I should stop it, but I can’t because I like him so much. I really don’t know what to do. I need reasons for and against it, so I can actually see what I should do, but I can’t think of anything.
Answer: Your friends are right. You need to quit fooling around with him right this instant.
And since you say you need some reasons, here they are:
- He’s using you.
- He doesn’t respect you.
- None of this is leading to what you really want from him – love, or even a relationship. All the making out in the world won’t make him want to be your boyfriend.
- It might feel good to hook up with him, but the more you do it, the more heartbreak you’ll feel in the long run.
- The longer you fool around with him, the less available you’re making yourself to guys who might actually like and respect you.
Stop letting him use you. Free up your heart for someone who’s actually worth it.
