Researchers tested the perfume, Victoria Secret Bombshell (Fragrance type: Fruity floral, Purple passion fruit, Shangri-La peony, Vanilla orchid) which showed that it is a strong repellent with effects lasting longer than 120 minutes. Though, the concentration of perfume used in the test was rather high, it is possible that lower concentrations of the same fragrance might have different effects.
4. Humans have been exploiting honeybees for almost 9,000 years
Traces of beeswax were found on ancient pottery from Europe, the Near East and North Africa which suggests the first farmers kept bees. Humans living close to that time may have domesticated wild bees or gathered honey and beeswax for medicines and food.

This is based on a research carried out in Denmark which spanned a week. The people who didn’t use Facebook said that after the week was over, they had a better social life and less trouble concentrating, whereas the Facebook users experienced no change in either area
An example is the needle fish. Once it leaps out of the water, it is essentially invisible, until it crashes through the water. When needlefish try to attack prey without jumping, their attack range is about 50 centimetres. But when they leap, this extends to about 2 metres, making it tougher for the prey to escape.
