This movie is a sequel to 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger and 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and is the thirteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Now, enough with the background information, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of the action!
The Beginning
It starts off with several Avengers attempting to stop the robbing of a strong biological weapon – the super-solid serum – from a lab in Lagos, yes, Lagos, Nigeria! The mission is going well, until Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) accidentally kills dozens of civilians.
Later at the team’s headquarters, U.S Secretary of State, Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (William Hurt) informs them that the United Nations is preparing to pass the Sokovia Accords, which will establish a UN panel to oversee and control the Avengers. At this event, a bomb goes off outside the headquarters. resulting in the split of The Avengers.
Captain America vs. Iron Man
Tony Stark, aka Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) agrees to accept whatever the UN has to say and not interfere, but Steve Rogers, aka Captain America (Chris Evans) believes differently, having more faith in his own judgment than that of the government, and would much prefer to find the terrorist instead. This conflict of opinions will get even much worse as the movie progresses.
One of the more memorable scenes is one of the fight sequences in the movie. In this particular one, the arena is an airport where so many different superheroes including Black Panther, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, Iron Man, Captain America and many more show up for the final showdown. The feeling the viewer gets from it can only be called pure adrenaline. Though, there are many exciting moments in this movie, but this perfectly put together fight scene easily ranks as the most exciting.
But the question lingers: Who blew up the bomb outside Headquarters? And who will win the epic showdown between Captain America and Iron Man? Questions that will be answered when you watch the movie.
