Cornerstore is a place known for making and delivering babies and its employees are storks, along with other birds. But this service was stopped when the current CEO, a stork named Hunter (Kelsey Grammer), saw that there was more profit to be made if the company converted to a delivery service for an online mega store. But before shutting down, they make one last baby and named her Tulip (Katie Crown).
The Only Human On Stork Mountain
Eighteen years later and Tulip is all grown and working to promote new ideas for Cornerstore, but her inventions always end up messing up the delivery process than helping it! So, Hunter came up with a cunny idea. He would promote Junior (Andy Samberg), who is the company’s top delivery stork, to the position of CEO if he succeeds in discharging Tulip from the company.
Of course, Junior wants this promotion – and very much too! – but he is reluctant to fire Tulip due to her kindness, friendliness, and hard work. Instead, he misleads her into believing that she is being transferred to the mail room and orders her to never leave it.
The Boy Who Wanted a Brother
Meanwhile, a young boy named Nate Gardner (Anton Starkman) is ignored by his loving, but way too busy parents, Henry (Ty Burrell) and Sarah (Jennifer Aniston). And because he feels so lonely, he longed for the companion of a baby brother but his mother would have none of this! Finding an old Cornerstone brochure, he writes to Stork Mountain asking for a baby brother with ninja skills.
Tulip, who now works in the mail room receives this letter and puts it in the wrong slot – starting the old baby-making machine once again! But this is against company policy, and when Junior finds out, he tries to stop it but only ended injuring his wing in the process.
Diamond Destiny Is Born (Sorry, Made!)
The product of Tulip’s error is a baby girl whom they later name Diamond Destiny. Knowing that Hunter will have his hide for creating an unauthorised infant and for not firing Tulip as he was supposed to do, Junior agrees to secretly help deliver Diamond Destiny. As Junior’s wing is broken, they steal a flying machine, and thus began the journey of delivering this cute little baby to her family.
But such matters cannot remain a secret for long. Pigeon Toady (Stephen Kramer Glickman), an employee at Cornerstone, learns of Diamond Destiny’s existence and goes after Junior and Tulip in hopes that Hunter will fire Junior and give him the promotion instead. Upon reporting back to Hunter, Toady and Hunter scramble the coordinates Junior and Tulip have been following to mislead them to a different location.
An Old Secret Is Revealed
After several bad encounters, Junior and Tulip run into Jasper (Danny Trejo), the stork that was responsible for delivering Tulip to her family. But because Jasper fell in love with the baby, he didn’t carry out his duty but wanted to keep her for himself instead! Now, Jasper is ready to take Tulip home and it is at this point that Tulip and Junior go separate ways – Tulip, to find her family; and Junior, to deliver Diamond Destiny.
An Unexpected Twist Happens
Junior is captured and tied up by Hunter and his cronies at the false location (remember that they scrambled their location earlier?) and they kidnap Diamond Destiny. Tulip learns of this and aborts her journey to come to Junior’s rescue.
But will they succeed in outsmarting Hunter and his gang? Will Diamond Destiny end up like Tulip, never delivered to her family? Will Cornerstone go back into the baby-making and delivery service and bring happiness once more to many homes? And will Tulip ever meet her family after all these years living as an orphan?
These are all questions this movie answers, and I can assure you it will be well worth your time and money *wink* *wink*
