When one 10-year-old found out the truth about Santa Claus, she decided to share her feelings through writing — and a few hilarious accompanying illustrations.
In a Facebook post from Dec. 10, her mom, Nicki Adams shared a photo of the notes her daughter, Belle, gave her parents after they let her the truth about the Christmas character. Below is a reproduction of the note:
You have no idea what you just did. I really tried to believe. Everyone told me, “It’s your parents”. I can’t believe you anymore. Is the Easter bunny real? How about the tooth fairy, huh? You just ruined a 10 year old child’s LIFE, thanks.
Nothing will make me feel better. You lied to me about something I loved that broke my heart.
And finished it with an expression and an emoji that is not included here.
Her mother told The Huffington Post that she and Belle’s father “cracked up laughing” at their daughter’s reaction.
We had to move to the bathroom to have a good laugh before we talked to her about the notes
She’s in a better mood though, and seemed fine within minutes of the explanation.
Take a peek at the note.
So, how would you feel if you found out that something you had believed your whole life as the truth, the fact is actually a lie? Care to share your feelings here? We sure would like to hear them.
