How to get your bully to apologise? Here is a perfect example

A bullied US high school student received a public apology from his tormentor after 100 Facebook ‘friends’ turned up at his school in support of the teenage victim.

Halsey Parkerson was the target of a fellow student at South Salem High School, in Oregon, who had taunted him about not having any friends.

When his aunt overheard the bullying while visiting the school she decided to take action and took to Facebook with an appeal for help from her car club friends, local TV station KATU reports.

She returned to the school on Friday and brought 100 of her Facebook friends with her.

Some coming from as far away as Canada to support the teenager.

At least 50 cars caused traffic chaos around the school as they flooded in, some wearing t-shirts with messages of support for the bullied teen.

The school’s principal didn’t know the rally had been organised but is reported to have allowed it once he was told what it was about.

“It’s just unbelievable,” Mr Parkerson told KATU.

“I now know whenever I get bullied I’ll raise my head up and say, ‘Sorry, I have too many friends to think I’m being bullied.”

The bully also showed up and offered an apology to Parkerson with the big crowd looking on.

“I apologise. I apologise. I take it back,” he said.
