Nigeria’s Got Talent TV Show Reveals Nationwide Audition Dates

Nigeria’s Got Talent, a reality TV show which rewards people with a variety of talents, has kicked off a nationwide tour spanning eight cities.

The second season of the show began with a first round of auditions in Abuja on October 9th as thousands of hopefuls jostled for a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate on the talent platform.

“We saw some of the most talented contestants right here in Abuja, at Nigeria’s Got Talent Season 1, so you can see why I’m really excited to be back here again,” said Adaora Mbelu, Project Manager for Nigeria’s Got Talent in a statement.

“I have no doubt that the auditions will spring up some really big surprises from some of the best dancers, singers, contortionists, magicians etc in the country. The response we’ve received so far has been truly heartwarming. Nigerians are about the most inspired and talented people around; and Nigeria’s Got Talent is totally focused on discovering and nurturing this talent.”

“Less than a year ago, my life changed on this show,” noted Amarachi Uyanne, winner of Nigeria’s Got Talent Season 1. “It was the greatest opportunity I’d ever had to display my talent. Yes, I’m still the ‘kid’ who won but in so many ways, since that day I emerged winner, I’ve grown bigger and better a hundred fold. So I’m honestly as excited as everyone else about Season 2. It’s good to see Nigeria’s Got Talent is back and also know that soon some talented individuals will have a unique chance to display their talent on a world class platform.”

The second season of the show is hosted by compere, Andre Blaze and will see  actress, Kate Henshaw; On-Air Personality, Dan Foster and comedian, Yibo Koko returning to the judges seats.

The talent show, which is sponsored by Airtel Nigeria and supported by Malta Guinness, holds from October 2013 to March 2014 and offers a grand prize of N10 million.
