REAL FANS: Chelsea supporters make donations to pay-off Mourinho’s FA fine

A group of Chelsea fans have revealed that they would launch a donation to pay the £8,000 fine imposed by the Football Association in England on their coach, Jose Mourinho.

It could be recalled that the Portuguese coach was on Thursday fined £8,000 for improper conduct after he was sent to the stands against Aston Villa.

According to the fans, they will start collecting on Sunday among supporters travelling to Swansea and will donate the 8,000 to charity if the manager, who earns £8million a year, doesn’t want to accept the donation.

Mourinho denied the FA charge but his case was rejected by an independent commission at a hearing this week and the fine was confirmed on Thursday.

He was also warned of his future conduct in relation to the incident at Villa Park last month when he twice went onto the pitch to remonstrate to referee Chris Foy, who sent off Ramires and Willian during a Chelsea defeat.

Dave Johnstone, a spokesman for the Chelsea fanzine cfcuk, said: “He’s not hard up but we support Jose Mourinho and we don’t think he should’ve been fined.

“We also wanted to make the point that we think Chris Foy is a terrible referee. So we’ll be holding a collections on the club special train to Swansea and around Stamford Bridge before the Sunderland game.

“If he doesn’t need the money, hopefully there’s a charity that will benefit.”
