The brain does a lot of thing, including helping you to learn new things. Ever imagined how miserable life would be if your brain were to permanently fail to assimilate all those new information that is thrust at you every day at school? Indeed, life would be horrible! But do you know that there are very simple things you can do to improve your brain power and be better prepared to learn faster and perform better at school and in the real world? Well now you know! Do find below some of these basic things you can and should indeed do.
One important thing you must do is to get your stress level under control. As you may well know, every time you are stressed, your brain’s performance slows down even as your productivity diminishes. Sadly, we are all stressed most of the time, especially teenagers who are grappling with a lot of emotional issues and the pressure to meet academic standards. But still, you can boost your brain power by simply getting rid of your stress. I have earlier discussed ways to do that in an earlier article on this platform which I am sure you read. Therefore, get rid of your stress and boost your brain for effectiveness.
Another thing to do is to eat balanced diet and brain foods. Not too long ago I wrote about brain foods, what they are and how they can help your brain function at a more optimized rate and thus helping you learn better. These foods include everything healthy from wholegrain to nuts, lipids, protein and moderated carbohydrates. You need these foods to improve the effectiveness of your brain; the brain power. So instead of eating all kinds of junks and utterly unbalanced diets, change your diet for best and watch your brain transform.
Learn to focus on accomplishing one task at a time. Even though the brain may be wired to multitask, multitasking often times do not really work to our best interest. Every time you multitask, you more or less split your brain’s power between many things, a situation that may easily result in distraction and the inability to properly execute the tasks. On the other hand, when focus your brain power towards accomplishing one task at a time, the result is always better, the task accomplished better and faster. To give a vivid example, you cannot be studying and performing house chores at the same time. You may pretend that this is possible whereas in actuality, you would only be wasting your time. On the other hand, if you finish your chores first and concentrate on studying, that would be done well.
