A teenager in West Valley City, Utah, USA, earned more than just a gold star or a free t-shirt for her perfect attendance at school this year. She took home a car.
Kaylee Duke, 16, won a 2001 Honda Accord. She won by spinning a prize wheel at a Hunter High School assembly to honour her and nine other students who haven’t missed any school. She won the top prize, a car donated by an anonymous faculty member at the West Valley City school.
The teen waved the keys to the rest of the school, smiling widely. Other student with perfect attendance won gift certificates, headphones and an iPad mini.
