Crocodiles are animals who don’t even have the brain function nor capacity of humans. How then will they be used as prison guards? What purpose could they possibly serve? Well, that’s not what the head of Indonesia’s anti-drugs agency thinks!
Mr Budi Waseso has proposed building a prison island guarded by crocodiles to house drug convicts awaiting death. He said he would visit different parts of the Indonesian archipelago (another name for a group of islands) in order to find the fiercest crocodiles. He added further that:
We will place as many crocodiles as we can there. You can’t bribe crocodiles. You can’t convince them to let you escape.
The plan is still in the early stages, and neither the location nor the potential opening date of the jail have been decided.
Real scary right? Imagine trying to strike a deal with a crocodile – well, only if you want to end up as its next meal!
