The estimated number of candidates was disclosed by JAMB itself who over the years have organized the exam. Las year alone, about one million, five hundred and sixty one thousand, four hundred and forty three candidates wrote the exam. Not many of them passed though.Anyway, just in case you are one of the prospective candidates who are anxiously waiting to purchase your own JAMB form, then you should definitely read through the rest of the article.

COMPUTER-BASED TEST

The examination is going to be computer-based. So it will do you a world of good if you are computer-literate. Unlike before, only JAMB-approved cyber cafes will be used as examination centres. Each examination centre is expected to accommodate two hundred and fifty candidates. And what this means is that there will be two hundred and fifty desktop/laptop computers in every centre, with twenty five in reserve just in case any computer malfunctions. Provisions will also be made for high speed internet servers throughout the duration of the examination.

NO ROOM FOR EXAMINATION MALPRACTICES

Unlike previous years, JAMB has undertaken a number of reforms in the conduct of the tertiary entrance examination, including limiting the number of cyber cafes hitherto used as examination centres. Therefore, in line with the newest trend, CCTV cameras will be installed in each of the centres as a way of checkmating examination misconduct. So instead of planning to cheat your way through the examination, it is advisable for you to study and prepare well in order to pass in flying colours. Passnownow.com can help with the preparation process by the way.

YOU MAY BE WRITING JAMB MUCH LATER AFTER WAEC AND NECO ETC!

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has worked out modalities for harmonizing the timetable with other examination bodies in the country such as WAEC and NECO. This is with the intention of avoiding conflicting timetable, bearing in mind that many of those intending to write JAMB will also be writing either of the aforementioned examinations. In the light of this therefore, JAMB maybe shifted until students have written their WAEC, NECO and NABTEB examinations. Perhaps this explains the reason for the delay in the sale of the JAMB form.
