Be wary of fake Int’l school recruitment agents, educationist warns parents

Worried by the proliferation of swindlers who pose as recruitment agents to international schools, the Principal, Babcock University Schools, Ogba, Lagos, Elder Gabriel Fasanu, has urged parents seeking admission for their children abroad to be wary of people who often promise scholarships and other educational facilities, abroad.

Speaking at the school’s maiden graduation and prize giving ceremony, Fasanu, who described these educational systems, as worse than what is obtainable in Nigeria, noted that such deceitful recruitment agents usually lure unsuspecting students into unworthy educational pursuit, forced labour and other numerous vices capable of  ruining their careers.

The educationist who urged parents to seek admission for their children in faith and value based schools in Nigeria that give priority to academic excellence and good character, however noted that “the school operates Adventist system of education which is holistic in nature. This system of education is the harmonious development of the physical (hand), the mental (head) and the spiritual (heart) of the person.”

Also speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA), Arch. Mykell Jegede said that the maiden graduation was remarkable considering the achievements of the school within one year of its existence.

Commending the Principal and other members of staff for their relentless commitment in building and nurturing tomorrow’s  leaders, Jegede, who charged them to be focused,  said the PTA has donated ceiling and wall fans to the school, even as it has also assisted the school in establishing its modern laboratory.
