- Crows are one of the world’s most intelligent birds. Their intelligence surpass that of parrots and nearly reach that of apes.
- Crows have reached 20 – 30 years of age. The oldest crow in captivity died at age 59.
They are able to construct tools. This ability is common only among humans, apes and chimpanzees- Just like parrots, they can imitate human voice
- They are known to attack and kill animals (especially lambs) larger than them
- They have a wingspan ranging from 85 – 100cm
- They can recognize you, read expressions on your face and even show you some love if you show them love
- They can habituate i.e they read your behaviour, adapt to it and use it for their benefits
- They lay about 3 – 7 eggs and incubate for 16 – 18 days
- Lastly and this will really get you amazed …… scientist postulate that Crows may have intelligence that rival that of a seven-year old child.
