For all you lovers of Africa Magic, Find out which of your favourite stars gets nominated for the AMVCAs 2016 tonight on Africa Magic. The stage is once again set as organizers of the prestigious Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, AMVCAs, conclude plans to announce this evening the nominees of 2016 edition of the awards ceremony. Expectations are very high as the entries this year have been very competitive.
Over 2500 entries have been received for this year’s awards, which indicates a high level of competition says the Regional Director M-Net (West) Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu.
The nominee announcement is once again brought to viewers across the continent by Africa Magic in association with MultiChoice and the headline sponsor, Amstel Malta. Ace Kenyan broadcaster Larry Madowo and popular Nigerian comedienne Chigurl will be hosting this announcement tonight.
“We are pleased to invite our viewers to tune in as Africa Magic announces nominees for the 2016 AMVCAs. The AMVCAs remain the most important celebration of film and television talent across Africa, and for the 2016 edition we have received over 2,500 entries. Everyone is undoubtedly excited and I urge viewers to tune in as we find out those who made the final cut,” Mrs Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu said.
The Annual AMVC Awards celebrate the best in the Film and Television Industry across Africa with the fourth edition scheduled to be held in March 2016. This year, there will be new categories introduced. These are:
- Best Movie for West Africa
- Best Movie for East Africa
- Best Movie for Southern Africa
