One thing ought to be the most important thing in the lives of teenagers- Education! This is so because not only is Education the primary assignment most teenagers ever get to have, it is also the only thing that promises a secure future; one that guarantees success and a fulfilled life. Being educated also are educated also enables teenagers to know their rights and ensure that said rights are respected by all. Indeed, Education provides teenagers with important life skills (such as critical thinking and literary/numeracy proficiency skills) thereby giving them the surest foundation and confidence needful for all round success in life.

Interestingly, Education is every teenager’s right! Unfortunately, not every child is able to have access to it. This is because some families in some of the poorest communities are just too impoverished to send their children to school even as certain cultural practices also serve as hindrances preventing children from being educated. Also, the safety concerns (as it is the case in some parts of Northern Nigeria) can militate against teenagers’ ability to access quality education.  There are many more reasons why some people may not be able to have access to education, including the fear of sexual harassment, unavailability of schools, the fear of bullies etc. But you are able to go to school every day and enjoy the experience. This is enough reason to make the best of what Education has to offer.

Most people of late are unemployed due to the fact that they are not educated, or educated enough, which makes it merely impossible for them to find a suitable job. So as teens, priority should be given to education as it holds great significance in their lives and in their future.

In conclusion, Education is a Fundamental Human Right. As a result, it is every teenager’s responsibility to not only acquire it, but also advocate for its easy accessibility and affordability for all!
