Hello friends, sure you are doing great today. I have been sharing with you on the values and what they represent. Permit me to take our discussion further today. Do you know that at the root of values is your identity and understanding of same? Let me try to decode to you your identity today by looking at the word TEENAGER is an acronym:
T stands for Transition: This is the most conscious time of your transition from childhood to adulthood. It is a period where you are very conscious of this status. Your consciousness, in most cases is not a function of your decision; it is a function of nature. A lot of times you desire freedom so much that you cannot wait to taste it.
The major problem here is that you do not even fully understand the meaning of the freedom you seek. You do not understand the virtues of freedom. You do not understand freedom as the greatest responsibility of every human being to lead a meaningful life.
You see freedom as your final escape from the bondage of your custodians. Unknown to you, you do not become free by leaving your parents; you become free, the day you attain maturity (ability to live by submitting your spirit, soul and body to universal laws and principles, as I earlier share with you).
The real truth is that if freedom is sweet, responsibility is its spice. If freedom is enjoyable vigilance is its price. Despite your lack of full understanding of freedom, your faint awareness of the responsibilities that comes with it strikes in you fear…
It is not totally your fault anyway that you see freedom wrongly. A lot of your custodians have not done much in teaching and modelling freedom. Therefore, you see them as kill-joy, from whom your struggle for independence must materialise very quickly.
