Covenant University, which is a private Christian University owned by Living Faith Church founded by Bishop David Oyedepo, is banning its student from using or being in possession of gadgets such as SIM enabled tablets and more.
The University which is based in Ota, Ogun State, is known for its strict disciplinary rules and low tolerance for any form of misconduct among its students.
According to a statement released yesterday by the institution’s Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Azubuike, the school is placing a ban on the use of “phone chargers, SIM Cards, and SIM enabled devices [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][like] iPad, Techno, Samsung and other unpopular tab brands” in the school.
According to the release any student found with these prohibited materials will be punished with a 4-week suspension.
