Osun State Government has employed 222 secondary school teachers as a means to boost teaching and learning in Osun East Education District.
Tutor-General of Osun East Education District, Mr. Kola Buhari, said this in Osogbo on Tuesday during the 2013 budget performance review organised for Ministries, Agencies and Departments.
The Osun State House of Assembly’s Committee on Finance and Appropriation organised the review.
He said: “We want to use this opportunity to express our gratitude to our listening governor (Rauf Aregbesola) for giving the approval for the recruitment.
“The employment will definitely boost our educational activities and facilitate a bright future for our children.”
He said that “the new teachers received their letter of employment on Monday”, adding that they were expected to have reported at their duty post.
