OSUN SCHOOL CRISIS: Gov. Aregbesola Begins Demolition of Fakunle High School, Oshogbo

Fakunle Comprehensive High School in Oshogbo, scheduled for termination as part of the education reform policy of Governor Rauf Aregbesola, is now being demolished.

Residents near the school told SaharaReporters the demolition began late on Saturday evening.  The property is being heavily guarded by policemen who have formed a secondary wall around it.

Speculations abound that Governor Aregbesola plans to convert the land into a Shoprite mall to accommodate the business interests of his political godfather, All Progressives Congress chieftain Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, or to create a parking station.

Students and teachers of the school were distributed to other schools within the State last year.

A member of the family of late founder of the school told SaharaReporters they are working on their options, as the entire family is saddened to learn that their patriarch’s legacy was being so casually destroyed.
